본 연구는 교육현장에서 가장 많이 활용되는 자료인 교과서에 진로교육 내용이 어떠한 방식으로 전개되고 있는지를 분석하여 원활한 진로교육을 위한 기초자료를 제공하는 것에 목적을 두고 있다. 2015 개정 교육과정에 따른 초등학교 5, 6학년 국정국어, 수학, 사회, 과학, 도덕 교과서와 임의 선정된 검인정 실과, 체육, 영어, 미술, 음악 교과서를 연구의 대상으로 두었으며, 「2015 학교 진로교육 목표와 성취기준」을 준거로 분석하였다. 연구자와 전문가 집단이 6학년 국어 1학기 (가)의 1단원을 분석한 후 분석결과를 비교하여 세부적인 분석 방법을 조정하고, 이를 바탕으로 연구자가 교과서 전체를 분석하였다. 분석된 결과는 전문가 집단의타당성 여부 검증 후 진로교육전공 교수 1명과 본 연구자가 합의하여 정리하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 2015 개정교육과정에 따른 교과서에 포함된 진로교육 내용은 총 747개로, 이전 교과서에 비하여 진로교육 내용 포함 정도에 양적인 개선이있었다. 둘째, 교과별, 진로교육 영역별 진로교육 내용의 포함 정도의 편중이 높았다. 셋째, 교과 내용과의 연관성이 높은 진로교육내용은 2015 개정 교육과정에 따른 교과서에서도 강화 및 유지되었다. 넷째, 교과서에서 제시되지 않거나 관련 수준이 미흡하여분석되지 않는 진로교육 세부목표 및 성취기준이 존재하였다.
The purpose of this study is to analyze the contents of career education in 5th and 6th grade textbooks based on the 2015 revised curriculum and provide basic materials for career education. The subject of this study is state-authored textbooks(Korean, Math, Social Studies, Science and Moral Education) and government-authorized textbooks(Practical Arts, Physical Education, English, Arts and Music) for 5th and 6th grade textbooks based on the 2015 revised curriculum. These textbooks were analyzed based on achievement standards of 「2015 The Educational Goal and Achievement standards of Career Education in School」. The results of this study are summarized as follows. First, There are 747 contents of career education in the textbooks based on the 2015 revised curriculum. Second, according to four areas of career education, ‘Self-Understanding and Social Competence Development’, ‘Understanding Of Works and Jobs’, ‘Career Exploration’, ‘Career design and Preparation’ accounted for 60%, 11%, 11% and 19%, respectively. Third, there were achievement standards not reflected in the textbooks.
