중국은 이미 전 세계에서 G2국가로서 확고한 위치를 점하며 전 영역에 걸쳐 그 영향력을 확대해 나가고 있다. 특히 중국의 경제적인 성취는 국제사회에서의 중국의 정치적 위상까지도 높이는 결과를 가져왔는데, 이에 시진핑 국가주석을 중심으로 한 중국의 5세대 지도부는 세계의 중심이 되고자 하는 중국의 미래 비전으로 ‘중국의 꿈(中國夢)’을 선포하였고, 이를 달성하기 위한 구체적 실천전략으로 ‘일대일로(一帶一路)’ 프로젝트의 추진을 근래 들어 적극적으로 표방하고 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 ‘일대일로’ 프로젝트의 구체적인 분석을 위해 ‘일대일로’ 프로젝트의 추진 경과를 우선 검토한 후, 프로젝트 추진의 정치･경제적 배경을 집중 분석하였다. 그리고 다극화된 국제 정세의 흐름 속에서 중국이 프로젝트를 추진하는 과정에서 부딪힐 수 있는 여러 난제들에 대해 프로젝트의 추진경과 및 추진배경의 검토를 바탕으로 종합적인 분석을 해 보았다. 그 분석의 결과 중국의 ‘일대일로’ 프로젝트는 다양한 정치･경제적 배경에서부터 출발되었으며, 여러 산적한 난제들로 인해 중국의 의도대로 프로젝트의 추진이 순조롭지만은 않을 것으로 예상되었다. 그럼에도 불구하고 경제협력을 통해 주변 국가들의 경제 성장을 긍정적인 방향으로 지원하겠다는 중국의 합당한 주장에 큰 반대의견을 제기할 논리가 없는 현 상황에서, 우리는 적극적으로 프로젝트의 추진에 동참할 방안을 마련해야 할 것이고, 그렇게 하는 것만이 단기적으로 우리의 경제에 활력을 불어넣을 수 있고 장기적으로는 한반도의 안정에도 도움이 될 것으로 판단된다.
As the Chinese economic achievement has led the country’s political status to the center of the world, China firmly occupied a position of G2 country in recent years. Thus, the fifth generation of Chinese leadership, Xi, Jin-Ping, declared ‘China’s Dream’ as its future vision, and he also aggressively advocated ‘One Belt, One Road’ project as a specific strategy to achieve the vision. Under the circumstances, this paper tried to examine the main idea of ‘One Belt, One Road’ project, and analysed the political and economic background of the project. In addition, some of the challenges that China can meet while implementing the project are examined comprehensively based on the previous findings and the consideration of multipolarized world politics. In result, the paper found that China’s ‘One Belt, One Road’ project started from the various political and economic background, and it is not expected to be very favorable for China since some of the piling challenges are ahead of the country. There is, however, no logic to raise an objection against China’s legitimate claim that China would support the economic growth of neighboring countries in a positive direction through mutual economic cooperation. Therefore, it is necessary for us to prepare for a scheme to participate in the project actively, and thereby it is possible to vitalize our economy in the short run and stabilize the Korean peninsula in the long run
